The Greenway Foundation has introduced tens of thousands of youth to Denver’s urban waterways through its South Platte River Environmental Education (SPREE) program. SPREE aims to develop a positive relationship between the South Platte River and local youth. SPREE hosts field trips, school break camps, and summer camp for elementary aged students. Stewardship opportunities and work experience are available to high school students. SPREE also offers free family-friendly community events. These programs get thousands of youth learning outside every year.
SPREE is committed to creating safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for all. We believe that the river is for everyone and you can help us make that possible! Join us this April to support SPREE. By participating in the online auction, you can help SPREE raise the funds needed to continue providing free and low-cost experiential education and meaningful outdoor opportunities for Denver's underserved youth.
Will you be one of the top bidders? Stop by SPREE HQ to pick up any items you win on Saturday, May 3rd from 9am to 1pm. We are excited to show our appreciation with a free gift courtesy of Maria Empanada. The first 20 winners that pick up their auction items will get a gift card for a FREE empanada.
